First of all I need to explain my school. No, too long. Let me sum up....
I work at a magnet high school, which means it's a public school, but the students have to apply to get in and meet minimum requirements for acceptance. On top of that, they must maintain acceptable academic and behavioral levels in order to remain enrolled. In other words: students can be kicked out of the school for grades and/or behavioral issues.
While most of the students at our school chose to be there and are proud to attend, we do have a group of students who 1. were forced to attend by their parents or 2. chose to come, but after attending for a while realized (usually because of the level of instruction and student expectations) that the school is not for them.
Sometimes students from these two groups choose to get themselves kicked out of the school, generally through bad grades or behavior.
During lunch today a sophomore (but NOT one of my students) decided that failing all of his classes might take too darn long and took matters into his own hands.
He went into the bathroom, smoked a joint, stripped down to his underwear, and streaked through the lunch room full of students brandishing another joint in his upraised hand.
Mission. Accomplished.
* Update: apparently, the joint in his hand was just a cigarette. I know. It's dissapointing, but does the fact that his boxers had "Italian Stallion" across the buttocks help soften the blow?

wow. That was one ambitious determined sophomore. he wanted to leave NOTHING to chance I see. gotta ask... were you there? Did you see the streak? I'm guessing no because I'm guessing you don't hang out in the lunchroom much but maybe just maybe you forgot your lunch today and happened to be buying school lunch??????
It seems like overkill to me. I think the streaking or joint alone would get him kicked out. What an overachiever!
And for that, I give him the slow clap. Although, I would have appreciated a more subtle Spicoli approach. Ordering pizza's and having them delivered to class.....then debating the teacher as to whether or not it was truly 'his' time or 'our' time. But still....
s*l*o*w clap.
I appreciate the 'Go get em' spirit.
I know. You gotta give the kid points for style.
James: I did NOT in fact see him, but my 8th period class filled me in on all the details.
I talked to you for an hour last night and didn't hear about the streaker? What a plan, that's an overachiever, just what your school needs. OVERACHIEVER!!!
As a public school teacher myself, I must give the kid kudos for his brainstorming, outlining/planning, and ultimate published act.
I'm sure someone has it on their camera phone. It will soon be on youtube. No doubt about it.
Speaking of lunch room nudity. My first year of teaching, I was in the lunchroom talking to kids. I made a rather quick movement imitating one of the cheer leaders, and split my jeans from crotch to waist band. That's right, blew the ass right out of my pants. The kicker. I was wearing a thong. Thankfully, my back was to the wall and the school jerk gave me his jacket to tie around my waist until I could slither out the door to go home and change. Nonetheless, many students had quite a story to tell about their English teacher that day.
